Progressive instrumental trio Big Space blends modern jazz and alternative rock, with a focus on live improvisation. Their debut album In Relation To was awarded ECMA Jazz Album of the Year for best jazz album in Atlantic Canada.

Their follow-up album The Pendulum Effect expands on the sound of the debut, offering the band's most high-energy material to date as well as their most lyrical, ballad-oriented pieces.
